Shiggaon: HESCOM Corporation Chairman Syed Ajjampir S. Khadri inaugurated a new electrical connection for street lights installed at the Hazrat Shah Khadri Dargah, a symbol of communal harmony located in Hulagur village of Shiggaon taluk. The project has been completed at a cost of ₹12 lakh by the HESCOM department.
Speaking on the occasion, Khadri said that the electricity lines at the dargah had been in a dilapidated condition for several years. He stated that after assuming office as HESCOM Chairman, he initiated the project to provide better lighting facilities and convenience for the devotees visiting the shrine.
Khadri further alleged that Minister Satish Jarkiholi had sanctioned ₹5 crore for the construction of a six-lane road leading to the dargah, but claimed that the local MLA was creating obstacles to the project. He also accused the local representative of interfering in matters related to the dargah.
