Born on July 1, 1986, in Bankapur village, Shiggaon Taluk, Haveri District, Basavaraj Kattimani is the second son of Smt. Ningavva and Pakkeerappa. Raised in a humble family, he completed his primary education at the Government Boys School in Bankapur. His father, Pakkeerappa, was a hardworking social worker known for standing against injustice and corruption. He served as a member of the Bankapur Town Municipality and dedicated his life to public welfare. Inspired by his father's values and commitment to society, Basavaraj developed a strong passion for social service from an early age. Despite taking responsibility for his family, Basavaraj Kattimani continued to fight against social injustice, discrimination, and exploitation. He has consistently supported the rights of marginalized communities and has worked to spread awareness about education, government welfare schemes, and citizens' rights.
